While at the range today, I noticed that the left grip panel on my Springfield Mil-Spec 1911 had cracked across the top. The right grip panel is showing a smaller crack in the same general area. The pistol has less than 500 rounds through it, so I am quite annoyed at this failure.
I will be contacting Springfield to gripe, and will note their response in a followup post.
