Why we wear our gear

This thread was posted by an ER doctor and motorcyclist. All of these patients suffered major injuries in motorcycle crashes that could have been prevented if they had been wearing proper riding gear: gloves, heavy boots, armored jacket, riding pants, and a full-face helmet.
