In November I posted that my Antec NeoPower 480 power supply had died. Antec’s warranty came through, and I received a new Antec NeoPower 500 a few days later to replace the dead 480.
Three months later, I got around to actually installing this new power supply. Yeah, I’m lazy like that sometimes.
The new NeoPower [...]

Recently my Kenmore “Evenheat” dryer refused to start: it wouldn’t keep running after releasing the Start button. After a rather frustrating conversation with someone at 1-800-4-MY-HOME who spoke very little English, a Sears tech dutifully came out, installed a new controller board, and left with a bunch of my money.
A few days later, the timer [...]

My computer’s power supply, an Antec NeoPower 480, failed last weekend. It is two years old, which means that it is still under warranty. I contacted Antec through their website and received an RMA number within a couple of days; the power supply is now on its way back to Antec. Fortunately, I still have [...]

I noted that my Kenmore vacuum tried to swallow its own brush bar recently. I was surprised to discover that the vacuum was still covered by an extended warranty that I had purchased. I say this is surprising because I normally don’t purchase extended warranties. Naturally, I discovered this additional warranty coverage several days after [...]
